Judgement

I think my main concern about driving is judging if there's enough time before the next car to pull out onto a ramp or make a left turn with oncoming traffic down the street. Some people make this more difficult by being impatient if they happen to be behind you.

Does anyone here have guidelines for this kind of situation? I realize ultimately ever time could be different.
